Anne Slanina, a Slippery Rock University associate professor of elementary education and early childhood education, released her latest children's book, 'Annie Mouse's Second Route 66 Photo Journal: The Journey East,' the eighth book in her 'Adventures of Annie Mouse' series. The protagonist, Annie Mouse, visits historic sites and attractions along each of the eight states that Route 66 traverses, traveling east from the Santa Monica Pier to Chicago.
